Spring has been profoundly colorful here in the Carmel foothills. The wildflowers have bloomed like crazy this year —
passionate reds, exotic purples, shameless whites, livid greens — it seems they're out to spite the devastating forest fire
which last December turned nearly one-half of our national treasure, the Carmel Forest, to mournful shades of grey.
Whatever the reason, with all the natural and not-so-natural disasters chipping away at our planet these days, this sublime
Spring carpet is a great excuse to tear ourselves away from the screen and celebrate the beauty revealed in every new bloom. Unlike our own days on Earth, the unrelenting wildflowers of Israel simply cannot be counted.
